None actually apart from nearby lakes - bhimtal, sattal and naukuchiatal. It was more of a weekend break.

According to KMVN site, the period you are interested in is not off-season. So no off-season discounts. However, Binsar has no off-season discounts.

Kausani has lot of options - so you can find budget places easily. Private hotels would give you a discount and I do not think its required to pre-book for Kausani.

I do not know. But in such cases, I normally directly call the concerned KMVN property and find out. You can try it out.

Hi,

This thread has become a good source for tips on building a trip plan. I'm planning to visit Kumaon in Dec. 2nd week and wanted your advice:

The broad plan is Delhi - Naukuchiatal/Sattal - Almora - Binsar - Chaukori/Munsiyari - Ranikhet - Kasauni - Delhi.

Basically, I'm trying to cover the best spots possible as per advice from this forum.

However, need your feedback on no. of days to be spent at each place, whether I can skip any stopover, or do i need one somewhere. Also, what should not be missed on this trip.

I'm surfing for best locations to stay at these places, but in case your comments would be most welcome.

We are shifting our plan from Kinnaur to Kumaon due to uncertain weather in dec. so would really like to stay at places that afford a really good view of the Himalayas.

Thx in advance,

Zany.

Ideally 2 days at each place.
