Travel Memoirs of a 9 Year Old

Editor's Note:

Quote:
The other day I was just wondering how different it was when I used to travel with my parents as a child. There was no agenda, no plans to make, no decisions to take, not even any conscious desire to see the wonders of the world. I was just there because they were traveling and I went where they went. From the faint memories I have of those times, I enjoyed those travels but there doesn’t seem to have been any conscious thought attached to it. For example, I don’t remember ever really standing in one place and pausing to look at something and absorb its beauty. It all seems to have been a rushing stream of images and memories, memories captured with my knee high sensibilities.

NICK!!! You cant be so prejudiced... you just broke my heart... I was in the middle of writing a book on how I learnt to climb mountains when I was a toddler!! Now that the award is declared, the author decided to discontinue

Natasha.. keep it going, great post.. this is just between Nick and me for declaring the results half way through the year

Yes yes…….. not only us but it is known to uncle (your dad) also. And probably that’s the reason he decided to change the hotel. He he…..

Well, Natasha, another great thread from you but after a long time !!!! Thank you. As you know, I am a fan of your articles (now plz don’t take it so seriously ) and this is the evidence – why. Lovely writing. Please do not leave the habit of writing and sharing.

Somnath, I am not sure if you are scolding me or praising me. That's the trouble with all my friends. They are constantly scolding me. I protest!

And thanks, Nick. Am I still in the running for the best post? Or have I lost it?

Anyway, I still have to go to badrinath, and then come back all the way to haridwar. Will try and finish the article as soon as I get some time.
