How about Lansdowne?
Nice , quiet. You can drive there from Delhi in under 7 hours. Not much to do other than walks and chilling in general!

How to go morni? what are the staying options?? will 4 days be too much?
There are many places in Uttaranchal. Last monsoon, I was in Chakrata, and it was just heaven. The climate was foggy, all the time, nice walks, and we had stayed in Hotel Snowview. And Chakrata is not too far too. Had also been to Harsil, which was lovely too, but that will be too much travel for you to do.
You can try other places in Kumaon too. Chaukori, or Kausani, as EOS suggests, would be good too.

how about barkot in Monsoon?
In order of priority
1. Landsdown : a quite, beuatifull army town, not much activity.Close to Delhi.
2. Nathuakhan : In nanital district, beyond Ramgarh. Two places to stay... one with famous motorist Murad alid baig's cottage. Secondly in tented accomodation in a apple orchard managed by a Ex Army Major. check the Outlook book....Will take you atleast 8-9 hrs from Delhi, if you are driving in ur own vehicle.
