Hows the weather & road condition around Ukhimath - Chandrashila area ? I'm planning for a trek to Chandrashila on August 15th.

I'll be heading to Ukhimath from Haridwar.

Travelling from 15th August onwards...
We are scheduled to arrive at Kotdwara on 15th Aug, then from 16th to 19th Aug in the route of Kotdwara-Lansdown-Khirshu-Haridwar....

How is road situation? pls suggest, anybody have information?

Hi, I am planning a trip to Rishikesh-Devprayag-Mussorie-New Tehri-Chamba-Dhanolti from 15th August onwards.

I would like to know how are the road conditions on these routes.

As per local news reports, traffic on Sri Badrinath route continues to get interrupted due to falling stones and debris at Patal Ganga.

Road blockage was removed Monday morning but the traffic was again interrupted in the evening for one hour.

JCBs and BRO personnel are stationed at the location to ensure free flowing traffic. Steps are also being taken to minimise landslide.

I am watching this thread closely as my hiking trip will start from Aug end. Coming from Mumbai and not able to complete the trip is not something will go down easily.

Hope everything is normal by that time.

my friend started his trek to VOF (YHA) . he had no problem to reach joshimath and onwards. as on Aug. 12th.

That's a fantastic news. I am not accompanying any group but I don't think it'll make any difference in case of natural interruptions.

Planning for a trip ( october 21 - 31 )by car ( Ritz) covering Haridwar- Risikesh - Kedar - Badri - Nainital - Haldwani..

Will it be possible that time ? Because I am worried about road condition.
