Question Rishikesh To Badrinath

Can anyone please tell me ..

1. Which is the best and the safest mode of transport from Rishikesh to Bhadrinath and back. Shared Sumo/Taxi or Govt. Bus ??

2. Is a non Sikh (i.e Hindu or Christian) allowed to stay in the Gurudwara at Ghangaria and Govindghat. Are they allowed to Go inside the Hemkund Saheb Shrine ??

Yatra Buses are best means of public transport to Badrinath.

People of all faith are allowed at Gurudwaras at Ghangaria & Govindghat. You won't even be asked to disclose your faith.

You can take bus from the yatra bus stand in Rishikesh. It's 250 Rs. Or you can take a car. Both are fine.

of course Govt buses are quite are comfortable..if you are able to get "Hi-Tech" bus..its a new bus service by UT govt 2*2 ..no internet reservation better go to counter for booking...all other buses are exhaustive ..

Cabs is a good option you will easily find cabs from Rishikesh ...to srinagar joshimath..rudrapryag.... mark it man dont stop ..even you want to go somewhere know your proper route and if you cant find a direct conveyance ,its fine, just travel and break your journey as you will find cabs.... for ex .. Rishikesh to Govindghat ..start from rishik... to srinagar ..u will easily find cabs similiarly from srinagr to rudraprayag then to Joshimath and then to govindghat ....this way you can save time rather than waitning for a direct bus or a direct cab.... one more thing from joshimath to govindghat you wont find cabs after 7.30 8 pm ...

ders no issue in staying in govindghat or ghangharia whether you are a christian or an hindu ..you will easily find rooms and logdes...in govindghat ..ya it may be a problem in ghangharia ....dude jus know that hav enough daily stuff to ghanghari cos every thing even a 1 ltr water bottle i.e. 15 rs in joshimath will cost you Rs. 50 at ghangharia a cup of tea is of 20 rs everything is more than double ...and if you are planning for a mule to cover 13km to ghangaria dont pay more than 700 rs in any condition..i paid 600 bucks one side though i had to wait and negotiate a lot for that.... i went a few days back.... and please if ur there dont miss Valley of Flowers
