reg weather condition in Nainital in sep'09

Hi,

I am planning to travel to Nainital in the next week . Recently I heard that there were heavy rains & floods around RAMPUR (in the first week of sep 2009). Please let me know if it is safer and whether the Nainital trip will be enjoyable during the next week.
We hav planned to visit muketshwar, raniket and places in and around nainital. We are totally 3 people (myself, my wife and our kid)

People who are staying in Nainital or who has travelled to Nainital in this week, please provide me suggestions.

i will be travelling there in the 1st week of october so please do update..also please suggestsome good hotels to stay in...

The weather, specially in the hills is difficult to predict but one trend I have seen is rains getting delayed in July-Aug and then pouring in Sept. This happened last year as well and I had to push my trek plans out by two weeks. If you can postpone to first two weeks of Oct. If not then I guess then you proceed and play by the ear.

Its not raining currently at Nainital though there are patches of black clouds in the sky. Its hard to predict how the weather would be next week.
