Perhaps someone could offer advice please ?

I am 72 years old and active, so walking is no problem for me. Assuming that my train arrives on time at 7am in Haldwani on 2nd November, I will travel by bus to Ranikhet, where my hotel is booked. I will stay in Ranikhet for two nights and then go to Almora for two nights.

I have already made plans for sightseeing in Almora, but because I know it is near to Ranikhet I will list my plans for Almora, so that they don't cross with Ranikhet.

ALMORA
Day 1 :
1) Visit the stone temples at the top of Almora town, including Nanda Devi Temple.
2) Visit Durga temple of Kasara Devi
3) Chitai Temple

Day 2
Go to : Binsar, Bineshwar, Jageshwar, Old Jageshwar, Bright End Corner.
Painted rock shelters of Lakhudiyar and the Sun Temple of Katarmal.

I have identified things that I want to do in Ranikhet but need someone to offer advice as to, how to divide these into two days sightseeing.

Chaubatia orchards, but realise that there will not be any fruit there in November. However I would like to walk around the flower gardens, but will there be any flowers in November ? I believe there is a short walk along a ridge to reach Bhaludhanm Lake which sounds nice , but I have read that there are leopards in the Ranikhet area, so I am not sure I should do that.

I would like to go to Jhula Devi Temple and Haidakhan Badaji Temple. Also Chilianaula, Maskhali/Majkhali, Shitlakhet and Upat and Kalika for the Himalayan views. Also Dwarahat temples.

Could anyone suggest a plan for two days and a reliable car/taxi driver ?

Thank you very much

Visit Katrarmal temple while going to Almora from Ranikhet as it is on the way. From Ranikhet, Dwarhat will require one full day as there are many temples to be seen. Use one day in Ranikhet to visit nearby places like haidakhan, golf course etc.

Car rental in Kumaon
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day

I would second the Chaubatia Garden plans. I don't know the flowers or fruits of the season but it is a really nice place to walk around at leisure. With tigers and leopards, not much can be done apart from being vigilant. You can walk with groups but that's easier said than done.

To me, your (Almora) plans seem a bit full - but it depends on the interests. I'd spend more time walking around and soaking up the clean environment and nature, for instance, in Binsar - and drop one or two of the other stops. Jageshwar is definitely worth a visit. But - my guess is Binsar and two Jageshwars put together constitute a full day.

At least. The OPs preferences seem firm, but I would have stayed at Binsar and kept more time there and Jageshwar.

Agree completely. I was trying to respect the original thought in the plan OP shared. I should have said Binsar and two Jageshwars put together constitute a full day at a minimum.
