Ramnagar - Nainital - Lalkuan

Hi all,

Last-minute train tickets are hard to come by during holidays, and to get to Nainital, we had to settle for arriving at Ramnagar and leaving from Lalkuan. (There are only 2 of us travelling.)

Our train (Dehradun Express) is scheduled to reach Ramnagar at 6 am on Sunday.

(1) Are there buses or shared jeeps that run from Ramnagar to Nainital at that time?
(2) How much would each of these options cost?
(3) Are these options still available if our train is delayed?


Our train (Nainital Express) leaves Monday night from Lalkuan at 8:45 pm.
(1) Are there buses or shared jeeps that run from Nainital to Lalkuan?
(2) How much would each of these options cost, and how long does it take?
