places to visit in Dehra Dun

We will be in Dehra Dun end of November, 2010. I just want to know the places to visit in Dehra Dun. Thanks

The Forest Research Institute and the Indian Military Academy (I don't know if they still allow it) would do for a start.

as mentioned by golghar, there is FRI, IMA, ONGC museum, Survey of India museum, many old & famous schools. then there are picnic spots like lacchiwala, SahestraDhara, Gucchupani, Robber's cave etc. then for the religious there are Shiv Mandir on Mussorie road, Tapkeshwar Mahadev, Buddhist temple in Clement town area...basically its ur taste which decides the places. you want a historical places, religious places, places close 2 nature, picnic spots etc.....

Durbar Sahib in Jhanda Mohalla is also worth visiting. The modern history of Dehradun starts from there.

Santla Devi is a small trek just ahead of Tapkeshwar temple.

Chandrabani has an old temple.

Malsi dear park on Mussorie road has a mini zoo.

And you may visit 4 siddhs:

Lakshman Siddh on Dehradun-Rishikesh road
Kalu Siddh, near Bhaniyawala
Manak Siddh, near Shimla Bypass)
Madu Siddh, near Premnagar
