Panchchuli Trek in July-August '09

Hi,

Can someone give me an idea about how feasible it is to go on a Panchchuli trek in the last week of July 2009. Will there be snow at this time of the year? Is it possible to go alone?

Are there any other snow treks possible at this time of the year in Uttarakhand?

Regards,
Ravindran

Are any of these treks possible in a timeframe of say 5 to 6 days? I dont think I can squeeze any more days off from work... I would be alone. (seems like too many constraints, eh! )

If you want to go for any of the treks, you need minimum 7-8 days..considering you are from Banglore....Panchachuli base camp/Darma Valley trek requires more days....

For Panchachuli base camp
Kathgodam to Dharchula is a long journey, requires 2 day..It can be done in 1 day only if you start very early and you have your own vehicle...
From Dharchula you can reach Nagling in another two days..

can be done all alone....you will meet lot of trekkers at Tawaghat and Nagling...but July is not the right time,as it rains heavily in Uttrakhand during this time...
