Sure Vinny - will do the same.

About Bhim Singh - I researched a lot and found him a nice man - even while talking to him he cut down lot of unwanted exp - looks like he is different. Even Apoo roaming (aka Apurba) also recommended him long back and other Imikers as well.

I'll update in detail about him once I am back.

Regards, Samir

Hi Simar,

Just a suggestion, instead of Arpenaz 100 go for Forclaz 100 they have better cushioning, light weight and better grip. Forclaz 100 are available in 2 variants old one price 2999 and new one 3999 (i would recommend new one )you can choose wither of them.
Arpenaz 100 are nothing but just water proofing of Arpenaz 50.
And choose .5 to 1 size Plus.
For more details u can check their web site.

Also picked 4 men tent Rs.4999 as a team exp

About sleeping bag and mattress, I'll purchase from Alpine (Rs.2000 and 400 rs respectively) as my old one is not in good shape.

Thanks again for all such valuable suggestions.

Hi Shouvik

Welcome to India mike.

You said "we" are planning, so how many members in your team? In my team we have 6 people thats including me. We can definitely join forces if our dates match. We are reaching Gangotri on 10th Oct.

Now coming to the trek & arrangements
-Are you planning till Vasuki tal?
-How many days have you kept for the same?
-Have you guys fixed up a guide
-Will you be carrying tents etc
-What are your plans on ration/meals

Will wait for your reply..

Cheers

Hello hisamir,

Once you mentioned about recent landslides in that region and DFO office will declare about giving permit in the 2nd week of september...what is the latest update on that? have you called again? Is it all clear now and is permit available now?
