Nainital Trip..Please Suggest Itinerary ..

Hi,

I am a 19 yrs old engineering student from Lucknow. My nainital + ranikhet trip is scheduled for 24th/25th Sep..I m wil reaching nainital by 9am on 24th and wil return lucknow by bagh express(25th Night).Actually earlier the trip was of three days but due to some problems we have to cut it to 2 days. We are total three guys(including me).

Now I have few questions.

1) Is it realy possible to visit nainital in 2 days?? I mean can i cover most of the MUST SEE palces??

2) With two days in hand, what are all the important places we should go for? Please suggest a detailed itinerary.

3) Is Ranikhet worth seeing in this season?? I have heard of Pangot. Whts the distance between nainital and pangot? Any bus service available?

5) Are Motorbikes availabe on rent in nainital? Please give contact numbers.

4) I have done lots of googling and read reviews so finally I m confused. And Google Earth has added more confusion thereafter. As seen from Google Earth- I found that all major tourist spots are scattered along the circumference of town. So I should go for which tourist spot first????? Please please please help me plan a tourist spot-wise itinerary(not town wise) which consumes minimum time and less expensive (since we guys are just backpacker type but stil don't wan end our trip in chaos.) Few places of priority are - China Peak, Naina Peak, Snow View, Naini Lake, The Mall, St. Jon's Church, Dorothy's Seat, Tiffin's Top, Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal and Kilbury. Moreover, we want to visit Mall Road by evening.

I wil be very thankful to you. Please help its urgent.

1) You can visit Nainital in 2 days. On your date of arrival visit the Tal, Snow view, Zoo, Observatory etc and scroll on the mall in the evening. Next day visit the Raj Bhawan, Cave Garden, Dorothy' Seat, Lands End, Kilbury (10 Kms from Nainital), Pangot (5 Km further).

2) Its possible. I would suggest to stick to Nainital Only.
3) You do not have time for Ranikhet. Pangot is 15 Kms from Nainital. Shared Jeeps will be available.
4) China Peak & Naina Peak are the same and you need to trek for 6 Kms one way to reach the top. Its a steap climb. No horse is available. You can rent a horse for Dorothy's Seat, Lands End & Tiffin Top. Go for Bhimtal/Naukuchiatal if you have time which are around 25 Kms from Nainital.

I have walked upto China Peak and if it is clouded there are no views. But the walk in itself was beautiful. Having said that I am partial to walking

Thanx for ur advice..I think that i should avoid shared cabs as i have just 2 days to explore and i should go for rental cabs..

Guys can u plzzzz provide me some information about Hot Air Ballooning in Nainital or around..At Which places?? How to contact?? And how is it gonna to cost(per person)??

Plzzz reply..Its urgent as i have to leave for nainital 2nite..
