Nainital Almora Binsar tour....sugestion required.

Hi All,

I am planning to visit Nainital, Almora and Binsar along with Ranikhet in last week of December 2012. Please suggest if the time is good for kids and also suggest hotels/resorts...!!! I will have 7 days for this tour.

Dear Robinson,
The time is great to visit any hill station as the air is crisp and clear and you will be able to spot the Himalayan ranges on a clear cloudless day. Great time for photographing them. You can try out the KMVN run TRH at Binsar, Almora, Ranikhet, Nanital & Saattal. Check out my blog for some more details -

Have a nice journey,

at binsar, you can consider Binsar retreat...nice swiss cottages...but it would be quite cold as it is right inside the wildlife sanctuary. Sattal KMVN guest house has got a very good location- right on the lake- but it is quite place...nothing much to do. With kids, Nainital is the safest place..as there is lake, good rides for kids, lot of shops/mall road. From there you can cover all these places easily..in nainital, there are lot of options to stay- personally, i have stayed at Shervani Hilltop which is very beautiful and the location is quite good.

Time you have choosen is best for that reason. For more & recent updastes you can contact Mr. Kailas, local resident of Nainital and our family friend & very cooperative person. You can contact him for any assistance needed at Nainital and around. His cell no. is 09410336591 and can give my reference if needed. Hope this will help you.

You might as well give Almora a pass.......nothing there at all. Rather, toss between Kausani and Ranikhet, if time is a big factor. Any Kumaon tour for me is rather incomplete without a visit to Kausani.

@ nomadic, You are very right. Specially if you stay at KMVN. What a superb location? Suman Retreat is also a good option. My first, second, third and only vote goes to Kausani.
