Munsyari to Joshimath

Hi,
Is it possibale- by public transportaion (bus or sherd texi)
Munsayari- Thal- Gwaldam- Karnaprayag- Joshimath?

How much time should it take?
Is there are better option?

Yes, a decent route is Munisiyari/Bageshwar/Gwaldam/Karnaprayag/Chamoli/Joshimath.

It will take almost the whole day.

No real better option. Alternatives would be via Haldwani/Rishikesh, but would take considerably longer.

With public transport u can get from Munsyari to Bageshwar at best. Other option wud be to go to Thal or Udiyari Bend (the daily Munsyari-Delhi goes this way), from where u can get onward transport to Bageshwar. From Bageshwar, u may be lucky to get transport quickly for Gwaldam, otherwise go to Baijnath and get the first vehicle coming from Kausani/Garur.
Gwaldam to Karnprayag and Karnprayag to Joshimath wud be the next legs, there is unlikely to be any direct service from Gwaldam to Joshimath, they tend to go downstream (towards Shrinagar).

Earlier there was a direct bus from Almora to Karanprayag(GMOU).. not too sure , its still running...If its running then you can get that bus at Gwaldam ..to reach Karnprayag..

This bus probably goes on NH87E, via Chaukhutiya, Adibadri.
