Planning a short trip (Sat-Sun) to Lansdowne (hoping to drive down in max. 6 hours - door to door?)
Can any of you advise on the best current route and a good place to stay (Fairydale, GMVN?)

Best route is still the same old one - NH 119 from Meerut.
There are a few newer places that have come up around Lansdowne, you'll find info in the various Lansdowne threads. Otherwise GMVN is good, but best to book.
