Finally we reached the Ashram of Kartik Swami at around 11.30am

Pujariji of the temple welcome us with water followed by hot tea.

As we are going to stay there, he suggested us not to go up to the temple right now as the cloud covers the entire Himalayan range, better take a rest for the day at the ashram.

Pujariji prepared our lunch with rice, dal and sabji....we took the lunch at around 2pm and enjoyed the silence of the place.

Sharing beautiful sunset as we observe there

Pujariji prepared lovely dinner for us with rise, roti, dal & alu-gobi sabji.....We took our dinner at around 7pm
and went to bed with a hope of lovely sunrise next morning.

Please note : (Till Oct'2016)

No electricity is there in ashram. (torch is must)

Drinking water is not up to the mark (Packed drinking water is must)

No washroom or bathroom is there in ashram.

No bed at the Ashram, though sufficient warm blanket are provided (Sleeping bag is good option for the night staying tourists)

For Kanak Chakori, you have to stay at Maya Deep Resort.
Home stay is also there where villagers allow you to stay at their spare room in a nominal charge....but you have to bargain.

There is no lodging & fooding charge at Kartik Swami Ashram. You can donate whatever you want to the Pujariji for his amazing service at that remote place

Hi Annyatoma,
How easy/difficult is the trek to Kartik Swamy. From your TR it appears to be easier than Tungnath (if one has to compare) - pls suggest.
I have my mother with me and was hoping if we could find mules there. Are there any mules in Kartik swamy that can carry you?

Thanks,
Amit.
