Hello Guys,
I will be traveling to Kumaon for 10N/11D during 30th May to 8th June.
I have planned like this:
30-05-17: Kathgodam - Nainital (local lake tour & stay at KMVN Tallital)
31-05-17: Local tour of Nainital & visit to Pangot & stay at KMVN Tallital.
01-06-17: To Kausani via Ranikhet, stay at KMVN Kausani Cottage.
02-06-17: To Chaukori via Baijnath, Bageswar, stay at KMVN Chaukori Cottage.
03-06-17: To Munsiyari, local tour & stay at KMVN Munsiyari
04-06-17: Munsiyari local tour, Darkot Village & stay at KMVN Munsiyari.
05-06-17: To Chaukori & rest at Ojaswi Resort, Chaukori.
06-06-17: To Binsar, stay at Binsar Eco Resort.
07-06-17: To Mukteswar, stay at KMVN Mukteswar.
08-06-17: Mukteswar local walk, by evening reach at Kathgodam, stay at KMVN Kathgodam.
09-06-17: Train at 8.30 AM from KGM Station.

Can the experienced traveler suggest on this itinerary? Also would like to know which are the places during this trip I must visit for solitude? This is my honeymoon trip (and WE don't want to "cover" all, rather WE like sitting, staring, enjoying a place & solitude). Whether the journey will be hectic?
Also I would like suggestion for Car type & Service/Driver for the 10N trip.
Thanks & Regards.

@bengaliengg, considering this a honeymoon trip, i think the program will be too hectic. And the point to point journey would be tiresome in june first week. During honeymoon you can't just wake up, see the sunrise, have tea, rushed breakfast and start for the next destination by 8 am.
Try to stay at kmvn binsar for 2 nights. You can reach binsar by 2 pm if you start early (by 7 am) from munsiyari.
Is your kmvn bookings already done?
Kmvn munsiyari is not that good. Just check for feedback. I stayed in milam inn hotel in outskirts, with great mountain view, but may not be appropriate for honeymooners.
Reduce number of spots. By the way, is your spouse interested to spend honeymoon in Himalayas? [It's very much personal issue. But many a times we overlook.] The hairpin bends are troublesome for new people. And to avoid nausea, you have to be on light diet while traveling.

Rajat, Thanks for the reply. My wife is eagerly waiting to visit Kumaon (Nainital, Munsiyari) It's not that typical honeymoon, she loves hills. We want to visit Munsiyari. I realised somehow the trip is bit hectic. But we can't skip Munsiyari. Your suggestion is welcome if you have any idea to make our trip less hectic without skipping Munsiyari. 80℅ booking completed. My final plan is-
30th Nainital (booked)
31st Ranikhet
1st Kausani(booked)
2nd Chaukori(booked)
3rd & 4th Munsiyari(booked)
5th Chaukori
6th Mukteswar
7th Nainital
8th Kathgodam(booked)

Please suggest for changes for betterment of the trip. Also are you at hills now? Can you suggest for a car hire & hotels in budget??

@bengaliengg, where is Binsar? I would suggest to stay 2 nights at Binsar- 5th & 6th as per your earlier itinerary.
My route was kathgodam (early morning arrival)-breakfast en route-morning walk in bhim tal & nal damayanti pond. Stayed in Sattal (1 night) and visited nainital. next day at Kausani (1 night)...next was chaukori (1 night), then 2 nights at Munsiyari (milam inn), next Binsar (1 night), next day back to kgm and return train. it was total 6 nights excluding the journey nights in train. I stayed in KMVN accommodations except Munsiyari. Hence hotel rates were standard. My car driver was not so good.
You can visit the small zoo near dinapani- they have few man eater leopards rescued from nearby areas.

@Rajat, when you did your trip? I have KMVN booking at Binsar on 5 th June (Day 7), Rest days there are no availability of rooms at KMVN Binsar. What's so special in Binsar to stay for two nights?? And how is Milan inn? Is there any reason why it's not good for honeymooners.
I am trying to modify the itinerary as this
D1 & D2- Kausani
D3 & D4- Chaukori
D5 & D6- Munsiyari
D7- Binsar
D8- Mukteswar
D9 & D10- Nainital

@bengaliengg, i visited these places in Oct first week, 2016. I have already posted few photographs in IM.
I found Binsar to be very romantic, amid the jungles. The car moved through a jungle path from Udiyari bend to Binsar while returning from Munsiyari. And at places it was pin drop silence. But I did not step out of the car since it was a core jungle area. Just asked the driver to switch off the engine. And the way we are destructing the nature and jungle, I doubt whether Binsar can retain the charm after 5 years. Anyway, it's personal choice.
The facilities at Milam Inn are basic and location is little away from the munsiyari market place (before entering the munsiyari town area). The room size was not very big, but enough for two. Upper floor rooms at ground level have big sized window and from the bed the entire panchachulli mountain peaks are visible without any obstruction. they have a small lawn also. I liked the place for serenity and unobstructed view of mountains.

Uploading mobile phone photos taken from the hotel.

Dilliwala-ji, I am posting the pictures of the circle. If you could zoom in, it is written udiyari bend next to shah bhojanayala in hindi script.
But it's Palyu Bend?? From this place the travel to Binsar was heavenly.
Food in this "Shah Bhojanalaya" restaurant was delicious, specially the parantha dish.
