most uttarakhand places are best accessed if you first travel to delhi(very easy and comfortable one night journey by rajdhani exp).

take a bus/train/cab from delhi as per your budget/time constraints.

I would say take a train to Kotdwar and then a shared taxi to Lansdowne. That costs less than 50 rupees.

cp,
(I'm damned if I'm actually going to address a female as "cutiepie"! )

Do go thru all the threads that are listed at the bottom of this one, they have a great deal of info. Also, a search for "Lansdowne" will throw up more threads.

Your train options are (check IR website for travel times):
a) 3009 Doon Express from Howrah to Kotdwara. That's if u don't mind waiting 2.5 hours at Najibabad station. You'll have to book early too, this train is usually full, specially in Puja hols.
b) Any train from Cal that passes thru Najibabad, and get off there. Try to avoid arriving at night as there'll be no transport to Lansdowne available.
It's 25 km/1 hr by road from Najibabad to Kotdwara.

Kotdwara to Lansdowne is 40 km/1.5 hrs. Transport info is in various threads.

well, book your hotel before leaving to lansdowne, there are few hotels, recently we visited lansdownee, it was bful but most of all, peaceful and very very clean hill station, all maintained by Garwal regiment. Staying in Oak Grove Inn hotel made our journey great, this hotel is run by a colonel- Mr. B. S. Rawat, well maintained, quite homely and most of all, talking n dining wid him was a great pleasure. he was a Charismatic persona.
