Info about Uttarakhand
Hi guys!.. I am planning a honeymoon trip at the start of January to Uttarakhand.
I needed some info from you ppl... Firstly what would be the most convenient way to get there from Mumbai..Should I take a Mumbai- PantNagar flight? Or Mumbai-Delhi flight and then a train from Delhi? Secondly I was looking for non crowded and scenic places..but which are luxurious also...I dont mind spending a little more but the place should have all the necessary amenities. I think Binsar is a must see. Any good resorts you can suggest there? Anyone ever stayed at hotel Imperial Heights?...Also will it snow in Binsar around that time. I was hoping I would get to see some snowfall. Also..has anyone visited the Kalamatia-Sangam resorts.. Suggest more places around this area please!..Also do you guys think Manali-Simla would be better off than Uttarakhand? Thanks! ![]() |

Kalamatia Sangam in Almora and Binsar are both good choices for Honeymoon. As for mode of travel, first you ought to decide what you would prefer and how many days you have for the trip.

Thanks for the reply!
I have around 7 days...I was thinking spending 3 in Kalmatia-Sangam and maybe 3 around Binsar. Could you suggest some places to stay in Binsar. I read about the government guest house. But I heard it has limited electricity. Any other places in Binsar with good views and good accomodations? |

Khali estate and binsar retreat are options but IMO they are expensive and KMVN is supposed to have the best views.

I visited Kausani last year we got breathtaking views of 360 km himalayan peaks right from the bed of the room it was an amazing experience. I have suggested the same to a few newly weds who found the place to be an ideal honeymoon getaway. Have you evaluated that.
Yes it could snow in Binsar late Jan. |
