How's Faridabad-Nainital-Binsar-Ranikhet-FBD in Aug

Hello Friends - Getting few days off during Aug 15-21 and as always my hill temptation is starting to resurrect..I did Kalpa, Chiktul in June this year and this time, want to do a short trip to Nainital-Binsar-Ranikhet, as there are not many days...

I read through various blogs that covered Binsar, and the it seems that not many attempt it during Aug, since its monsoon.. This year, its really a Monlate than Monsoon, but last few days its been raining heavy over the hills...

Please advise on the trip idea. Is it too dangerous to attempt this or I can take a stop-look-go approach for the hills (giving in some more time in return)...

As always I've done..will be driving my Red Swift along with my wife and two kids...

Don't want to lose on the holidays that are there for the picking..Either I climb up the hills (may favourite) or else go to Rajasthan (FBD-Jaipur-Udaipur-Abu-Jaipur-FBD)....

Good day to all of you !!

Request you to please advise

Is this trip idea sounding ok during rains...I wouldn't mind overcast conditions and missing the himalayan peak view. Need time for relax in the hills...Only that, I am little skeptical about conditions in and around the hills (Nainital-Binsar)

Thing is, where do you intend to stay at Binsar, do you have a booking? If not, you're unlikely to get accom at KMVN. and the other places cost a pretty packet.

Thanks Dilliwala

Haven't booked anything at Nainital.. I guess there are plenty of options to walk in.. Will try to book KMVN at Binsar else, will try my luck !!!

Hope the road conditions upto Binsar are ok to do this short trip with family...

There's also a KMVN at Dinapani, south of Binsar.

No news is good news as far as roads are concerned.
