Himalaya Views from Corbett or Rishikesh
Hi,
I'll be in Rishikesh and Corbett in November and would like to know how far up the roads to get good views of the mountains. Any suggestions?.........Could spend all day since I have a driver but would want to get back by nightfall if possible. |

From Corbett you can go to Ranikhet for the himalayan views.Ranikhet is close to 100kms from Corbett..You can also reach Nainital from Corbett(via Kaladhungi,Khurpatal) close to 70kms.From Nainital, there is place called Gagar nearlly 25kms on the route to Mukteshwar, views are beautiful from there..But most importantly it should be a clear day otherwise u wont be able to see. From Rishikesh no idea...

U can see the snows without leaving Nainital - from Snow View, above the town. A cable car is available to take people up from the northern end of the lake, Mallital.
"from rishikesh -> u can try mussorie" Or New Tehri. Lansdowne or Pauri are good options too, but wud require at least 4 hours driving, one way. |
