Some people say it is not possible to trek that time because iof snow fall where some others say last year snowfall didn't happen before December so it is possible. I am confused. What happened in past few years ?

Also tell me Bagini Glacier is possible from October 16 to October 21 ? What's your idea.

I am thinking which trek is possible that time or both ?

Please advise.

Thanks

Just came back from VoF, Hemkund Sahib, Badarinath, Mana& Delhi

I started on 4th July and was back in Pune on 14th July...
All in all the trip went as planned with some landslides on the way... The weather was great.. all with clouds, rain & sun coming and going in shitfs... sometime doding overtime...
Valley was mostly white and yellow... Flowers were there but mostly 2-3 dominant once... but found a lot around Hemkund and ghagria.
The trek to Hemkund was very tiring... but the view on top is just amazing... took 5 (3+2) dips in freezing water of Hemkund...

Check some pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2344746...n/photostream/
Will post more as I process them...

What is likely to be the temperature range in August in VoF & Hemkund? I find conflicting information on the web.

sure you can .. joshimath to haridwar takes approximately 10-11 Hours if the roads are clear on the go.. only the problem is during rainy season, for that you have to start early from joshimath

What you should do on 2nd Aug is - after returning from Auli, keep moving to say Karnprayag or Rudraprayag, don't stay again at Joshimath. That way you can comfortably reach Haridwar on the 3rd.

Could you recommend Karenprayag and Rudraprayad such as the hostel ?
