Help with Information regarding trek to Dodi Tal

Me and my friends are planning a trek to Dodi Tal and Darwa Top this New Year. I Would like to know about the difficulty level, route and distance.

I have previously trekked to Vasudhara Falls, Tungnath, Kedarnath and Rudranath. we completed 20kms of Rudranath in one day.
Is it possible to reach Dodi Tal in one day during winters?

Even though the weather is unpredictable at high altitudes, will it be snowing there?
We will be arranging tents and guide from Uttarkashi. I have never been to camping treks so can you tell me what should we take to eat and other necessary equipments.

welcome to indiamike..
i am also going to dodital trek on 19th dec 2009 with my friends..
so if you wish you can join us. if your dates are ok..

this route is ok and distence is around 45km ..
you would not be able to done in one day its a four day trek..
and you are planing in winters so you have to arrange all the things in uttarkashi... because winter is off season...

weather will be ok and you will find snow there ay dodital...
and if you are arranging tents and guide then ask him(guide) he will arrange food also..
