Yes, the poster featuring on page one of this thread mentions Jonathan's height of 1.82 metres.

Going back to Lynda and David's post of 18th March, where we are first told of the discovery of medical information in the backpack (found near the waterfall), showing that on 17th December 2011 Jonathan had an ultrasound which showed the presence of a kidney stone measuring 5.5 mm in diameter, close to passing out of his kidneys...... am I the only one wondering here whether the doctor who diagnosed the kidney stone has been contacted? Was Jon due to go for a follow-up examination? Where? Where was the hospital he had the ultrasound done?

Judging from my very little knowledge of kidney stones, surely he would need to have a check-up at some point? Would the doctor be able to advise?

I was re-reading an article from the Irish press, where Jon had mentioned his desire to go "whimming" and his mother Lynda was impressed by the new word, invented by her son, meaning "to do things on a whim".

It is a wonderful idea, whimming, I wholly approve. But having a painful kidney stone and whimming don't go together.

Hello rishikeshpage, welcome to Indiamike, and thankyou for posting this information.

So Naveen Prakash Saklani made these two posts in Hindi:

Quote:
ye zinda hai.. kyun ki is ko kahi maine dekha hai... par is ne dadi aur baal katwa diye hai ..
Quote:
is ke gale mai cemra tha aur isne kurta aur jis pahana hai...
Could any member translate these into English please?

It was translated above.

"ye zinda hai.. kyun ki is ko kahi maine dekha hai... par is ne dadi aur baal katwa diye hai .." => He is alive...because I have seen him somewhere...but he has cut his beard and hairs.

"is ke gale mai cemra tha aur isne kurta aur jis pahana hai..." => (He) had a camera on his neck and was wearing a kurta and jeans.

How about somebody with photoshop have a go at altering the photo to match the description?

I haven't got it, or I'd have a go myself.

Aw, that is disappointing, we were sure we had come up with whimming first! It sort of evolved organically as I was teasing him that he was really enjoying changing his plans just because he could! He was used to having a strict itinerary to stick to (as most of us would be) so this freedom was a real luxury and he was having fun with it.

I suppose if anyone was to invent the verb before us, It is good that it was the Beatles! Lynda

Exactly my thoughts. But let's hope that may be he did that intentionally to keep the Anonymity. And may be he shall be able to pass on the relevant info to David and Lynda.

@ Topic:- I haven't read all the pages so may be missed this. But has anybody thought of hiring private detectives to find the whereabouts of J? I know it may sound foolish, but it may be worth a try. Specially in a country like India where the authorities are confronted with 'Missing person' cases almost every hour.

P.S:- I've followed David's posts, and I really feel that he is a great parent. I wish that J returns to his parents soon. May God help you, David and Lynda.

I definitely wouldn't expect him to be wandering - tourist like - with a camera 'around' his neck - at this point. It's possible but not very probable - given the time & known facts to date.

Missing Jonathan Spollen

Naveen Prakash Saklani

Mod note: I have deleted Naveen's phone number to protect his privacy. I have sent it by PM to David and Lynda in case they wish to follow up on anything from Capt's conversation reported below.
