Gym and Accomodation in Rishikesh / Haridwar?

Hi guys. *comes out of lurking*

So here's the thing. I am quitting my job and returning to India in order to de-stress for a while. I just want to eat, sleep and go to the gym. Since I am disembarking in Mumbai, I though of simply booking a place there. But Mumbai is hardly the place for inexpensive accomodation or for relaxation!

So that's why I thought of Uttarakhand - specifically Haridwar and Rishikesh, which I've always wanted to visit. I understand that these are pilgrim towns and that their services are geared to a different set of needs, but surely there would be a well-equipped gym in either one of these places?

My budget for accomodation is around Rs: 10,000 or below per month.
And all I need is a gym and some cheap eateries nearby. Add scenic locale into the equation and I'm in heaven.

Any suggestions/advice you can offer will be most welcome

I looked through other threads on this forum and found several good suggestions for places to stay. Guess I should have done that first.. he he..

Now all I need to know is whether there are any gyms around there.
