Question gomukh tapovan nandanvan trek in july

Hi All,
We are planing to go for Gangotri Goumukh tapowan nandanwan trek on 4 july to 16 july will it be feasable at this time of the year.How will be the weather conditions ? will it be difficult.
Any experience trekers expecting your valuable comments.

I have done this trek 2 times.

Other than rains it should be ok. The only tough part of the trek is the crossing of glacial moraine between Goumukh and Tapovan

Make sure of rains before going. In rainy season, there can be land-sliding in these mountains that may pose unexpected delays in your itenary.

for permission i was faxed a letter to dfo uttarkashi. but he was not assured me about the confirmation when i talked to him over telephone. he said there was no fixed date to close the trekway to gomukh. so i as confused about the trek. any idea about guide?

my tour programme is as follows:-
03/10- reached rishikesh, 4/10 stay at uttarkashi, 5/10 gangotri, 6/10 start for gomukh, 7/10 gangotri, 8/10- gangotri to ukhimath (night stay at chandrapuri or sialsor)9/10 ukhimath, 10/10 tunganath and chandrashila, 11/10 sarigram 12/10 deoriatal and back and start for joshimath(night stay) 13/10 badrinath 14/10 start from badrinath, 15/10 haridwar.
how is the plan

please anyone help me to fixed my trip. it is my first trip on the trails with my son. earlier i went kedarnath-chorabalital and mane-sandakfu. but i heard the first 14kms of gangotri to gomukh is very tough.

The ponies do not go beyond Bhujbhasa.

Hi Ashim,

But i think , the movement of Mules/Horses are banned inside Gangotri National Park

Please clarify..

No,
You can hire Mules/Horses till bhujbhasa from gangotri.

The last 4 kms (bhujbhasa - Gomukh) , you need to go by foot.

Please let me know for any further clarification. Just came from there on first week of June.
