GMVN Rambara

Hi
Does anyone have anyone have any experience of GMVN at Rambara?

Is it possible to start from Rambara in early morning and reach Kedarnath and come down to Gaurikund by evening same day?

I have heard that there are breathing problems at Rambara due to height? is it something to worry about for staying there overnight with small kids and old members?

Thanks,

GMVN Rambara is the best accommodation on the route. I have stayed there 2 times.

With small kids and Elders you may find it difficult to reach Kedarnath and return to Gaurikund same day. Best that you can plan is again breaking at Rambara i.e. while returning.

Some people do feel breathing problem and I have seen portable oxygen cylinders for sale at Gaurikund. But this is a medical issue, so I can speak for myself only and I'll refrain from making any general comments. Best to consult a Medic.

I think oxygen cylinders are mainly for Kedar & above ........... Rambara is only around 8500ft...............
