Today i contacted one of the cab owners Mr. Tiwari.
He quoted Rs. 1800 per day including night halt charges for a Tata indica.
Is this tate reasonable?
He also said that Binsar, Jageshwar, Kausani, and Mukteshwar can be covered over a period of 4 days comfortably. He also told that pre-booking hotels will be costly and in October, there is not much rush and you can get hotels easily.
Can we rely on this and go without pre-booking hotels?

25 - Syalsaur
26 - 27 -28 - Chopta - trek to Deoriyatal , Chandrashila-tungnath (if possible)
29 - Gwaldham ? Chaukori ? (Pls suggest options)
30 - Binsar ? Munsiyari ? (Pls suggest options)
31 - Binsar ? Munsiyari ? (Pls suggest options)
1 - A jungle camp in Nainital or Accomodation at Bhimtal (Pls suggest options)

Guys, I need help in the itinenary for Kumaon from 29th to 1st. We have Gwaldham, Chaukori, Munsiyari, Binsar in our wishlist. But we dont know distances wise whats feasible and whats not. We dont want to end up only travelling. The intention is to enjoy the nature at Kumaon and relax a little bit before we get back to the grind after our vacation. Any advice or suggestions plsss...

First 2 days are not very efficient - staying at Byasi but then back-tracking to Rishikesh for sightseeing. In that case you should see Rishikesh on the first day and then move to Byasi.
From Syalsaur - go to Devriya Tal, and you can still make it to Chopta by evening. Or stay at the Tal for the night and move to Chopta next day.
You won't be able to cover all the points in Kumaon. Drop Munsyari definitely. Chopta to Gwaldam is a comfortable 5 hour drive, Binsar is also manageable. Chaukori will take all day but possible if you insist.
Of course I presume you'll have your own vehicle for the whole trip.

Hi again..
Thanks for your input..Dilliwala. Actually, along with local sightseeing on 24th in Rishikesh, we were also planning to take up the adventure sports at Mohanchatti in the morning. I thought..it wouldnt be the best thing to do...immediately after our arrival in Rishikesh. So thought..would relax a lil bit at the beach camp, do the white water rafting and then come down to Rishikesh on the 3rd day again. But your suggestion also makes sense.. So, I have modified the plan as below :
22nd - Reach Rishikesh , local sightseeing, Ganga ki Arti
23rd - Morning - Go to Mohanchatti - afternoon arrive at beach camp
24th - Rafting and other activities
25th - leave for Syalsaur - we actually wanted to halt a night at Syalsaur.. I have seen a few pics of this place and it seems so serene with the Mandikini river flowing from this place.
26th - Today, we start our journey to Dugalbitta (chopta).. Overnite in a camp.
27th - Trek to Deoriatal and overnight stay at Deoriatal .. (a full moon night)
28th - trek to Chandrashila if possible ... If not..just spend time in Chopta. overnight at base camp.
29th - We start towards Kumaon. Ideal place for overnight is Gwaldham i believe. But was wondering is it possible to reach Chaukori on this day ? How much time should it take from Chopta to Chaukori ?
30-31-1 - Depending on where it is ideal to halt on 29th, pls suggest options for these 3 days. We dont want to jump from one place to another. The intention is to enjoy the scenic beauty and relax a little bit.. Just go for some shorts walks, get some wonderful views of the Himalayan ranges... I am dropping Munsiyari definitely; Binsar and Chaukori are on my wishlist. Is it possible to do justice to both these places in the time we have ?
2-3-4 - Jim Corbett. (Here we will be staying in the FRH )
Yes, we will have a dedicated vehicle for our whole trip.

25th at Syalsaur is fine.
26th/27th - As I indicated earlier, there's no point in going to Chopta or Dugalbitta and then back-tracking to DT the next day, specially if you want to stay at the lake. There's no real need to stay at DT overnight but nothing against it if you want to, so go to DT first on the 26th then move to Dugalbitta on the 27th.
28th - If there's no snow on the path, you can definitely make it to Tungnath. The temple itself will be closed though.
29th - From Dugalbitta - 5 hours to Gwaldam, 8 hours to Chaukori. Plus stopping times.
30th to 1st - from Gwaldam you can visit Baijnath and Kausani for day trips.
From Chaukori you can visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar. Walk to the musk deer research centre from Kotmanya (3 km from Chaukori).
P.S. Here's a map that will give you an idea about directions and distances
