PS:

My Bit Meter readings after seeing almoraboys CMT pics:

Data Sequence > Time Slot; D/L; U/L; Both; Avg D/L speed; Avg U/L speed;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
since 3:00 AM Today 92.78 MB 2.31 MB 95.09 MB 26.39 KB/sec 671 bytes/sec

I guess the D/L speed is good .... as pics came down pretty fast.
Hello KS Sir,

Superb pictures Almoraboy. Thanks for updating. I was more interested in viewing pictures of Dhakuri-Chiltha Mai temple route. These pictures made me spellbound.

I had seen some of your pictures sometime back but due to very slow speed, I gave it up. Now, the speed is good so the pictures and descriptions .

If at all I make it to Dhakuri in coming winter, the credit should go to you and your pictures .

Sadanand

How's that?

You were planning for a winter trek to Bedni. Have you changed your plan?

Rains ?

I have been hearing about heavy rainfall during the last few days ? Can some locals/experts or people who have just come back throw some light on how bad the road conditions are ?

We are planning to travel from rishikesh to valley of flowers..

Nainital in November

Hi

I will be travelling to Nainital in November along with my wife. I want to know the following

1. Best possible way to reach Nainital from Calcutta. Taking a train from here to Kathgodam is a very long journey. If I take Rajdhani, I reach Delhi in the morning by 10. How best can I utilize my time and reach Nainital? Are there any buses in the morning from Delhi to Nainital?

2. How can I best utilize 4 days in and around Nainital

3. Is there any other place which I can visit in November and which would be better than Nainital. Considering I make Delhi as my base and come back withing 4 days

( I have seen the other threads in this site and have some idea but it would be great if someone can answer my above questions )
Tks
Manish

There will be buses throughout the day. Else spend the day in Delhi and take the Ranikhet express to Kathgodam or hire a car from Delhi for the whole trip.

Mukhteshwar/Almora/Jageshwar/Kausani/Ranikhet are excursions from Nainital but all depends on whether you want to spend most of your time in Nainital or outside (if outside, then a tour is better than staying put in Nainital, though it makes a decent base)

You will have to pick and choose since only 4 days.
