Sorry Arnab, we don't seem to connect then. I'm reaching Kathgodam on 20 October (Saturday) by Ranikhet Express. Arrival time around 4.30 am. So I've got the full day to myself. Return not finalised as yet, but as I said earlier, I'm planning the trip for 6-7 days.

Will share any detail as soon as i get expecting the same from u..
Do what daipayan has already done - refer to the Car Rental in Kumaon thread. Talk to different drivers listed there, give them your plan (do NOT let them talk you into making hotel bookings!), then when you have a good idea of rates, narrow it down.

Still working on the itinerary by scrubbing through these posts.

@ chandanprakash2002 .... I agree ... Just want to make sure I dont miss the Best views ... I am taking a additional 1 TB of hard drive to make sure I have a dumping ground .
dont forget to keep a copy on your laptop's hard disk too. data must be saved in 2 separate locations.

Hi Everyone,

Need Some help here.

I am staying for 6 days in total.

Which would be the Best point to stay from a Vantage point so that I can cover the important places in Binsar,Almora and Mukteshwar and jageshwar?

I am staying at Dunagiri retreat and Mistymountains resort in jhaltola for the last 4 days.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Arnab

Look out for The British Retreat in Mukhteshwar. Else you could try out the KMVN TRH though facilities there may be limited, location is awesome though.
Binsar....its obviously the KMVN property out there. Thats the best, and by miles.
Almora.....just give it a pass, unless of course you want to spend time at the lakkar bazaar (I forget, think it's called Lal Bazar).
Jhaltola......AFAIK, you have selected the very best resort. Btw, how much are the rooms costing here in Misty Mountains?

Hope you don't agree to a 10-15% discount on the card-rates. Ask for 50%, because you are travelling in off-season when there aren't many tourists around and rooms of all hotels are empty.
