Dharamshala/Ashrams in Haridwar

I am going to Uttarakhand again this Oct. We are planning to do chardham yatra + Triyuginarayan + Tungnath. As an experience we wanted to stay in a Dharamshala/Ashram for one night in Haridwar. Any suggestions of good dharamshalas in Hardiwar and how they can be booked. I am not looking for comfort but would like a room (not dormitory)with ensuite bath - am I being demanding here ; well while I am at it, preferably on banks of ganges

There are many small hotels on the Ganges. Some ashrams have private Ganga beaches too !

And dear roopeeman, that state is now called Uttarakhand.

Delhi - Shukriya. Pvt Ganga beaches sound very inviting

well more like ghats than beaches I would say . There are several Ashrams in Bhopatwala - Lalmata, Bharatmata etc.

Do you have numbers... also around Rishikesh I did see some Ashrams on the other side of the road which had what could be called beaches
