Delhi to Nainital / Kausani

Hi Friends
I have to go to Nainital/ Almora/Kausani form Delhi in October last week with My wife and two kids. I have checked irctc and there is no seat available in Ranikhet exp in between 20 oct (onward) to 30 oct( return), please let me know alternative ways to reach these places comfortably, is there a Volvo service available for Nainital. I will stay either at Vasant Kunj or Indirapuram in GZB. Is there a Sumo/Innova/Tavera service on share basis available from Vasant Kunj or Gzb ?
In a nutshell how can i reach Nainital/Kausani from Delhi/GZB comfortably. Is there a daytime train available for Kathgodam ?
Please Help.

Have u checked the above train ? T.No.5035 ?

Don't know any shared taxi services to Nainital. but Anand Vihar ISBT from where buses leave for Nainital is close to Indirapuram....

If you stay at Indirapuram you may like too see the Delhi Haat lookalike Ghaziabad haat there...

Thanks for your replies, this is my first visit to Kumaon and reaching Kathgodam at night is not suitable for me.
In donot have any idea of Ghaziabad Haat, i will go there, i like most visiting Delhi haat, i still remember the taste of Makke ki roti and Sarson ka saag of Amritsar Dhaba at Delhi Haat.

You can go to Ramnagar from where Nainital is around 65 Kms.

Alternatively buses are available from Anand Vihar ISBT for Nainital.

Buses to Ramnagar also go from ISBT Anand Vihar only.

During the month of October, railway is running a festival special day time train between delhi and lal kuan. From lalkuan nainital is 1.5-2 hours of road journey. Train no 0517. If you take it leavs GZB at 6:15 and reaches lal kuan by 11:00am. Its basically the overnight ranikhet express running as lalkuan express. So, normal sleeper, 3AC, 2ACs are available.
