Delhi to Kedarnath in 3 days?

HI,

I have Three Days (25th evening to 28th Sep 2012) plan to go Kedarnath darshan by public transport

25th evening Delhi to Gaurikund
26th Night hault at Gaurikund
27th Darshan at Kedarnath and back to guptkashi or rudraypryag
28th back to delhi

is that possible ????

Any bus is available for guptakashi or gauikund from Delhi ISBT????

This is feasible provided roads are not blocked during that period.

Delhi Guptkashi bus can drop you at Guptkashi by 10am and you will reach Gaurikund at 12 noon using jeep from Guptkashi. I have used this bus many times but not in rainy season. Thus, you can reach Kedar on 26th itself. Even in case of minor landslides causing disruption of traffic for few hours, you can still reach Gaurikund on 26th. But 27th Sept may prove tough as per your plan.

Yes,,,there are buses for Srinagar, Guptkashi & Gopeshwar from Anand Vihar ISBT leaving between 8pm to 9.30 pm daily.

what is bus timing from Delhi and advance booking is available ???

is that possible if I ignore stay at gaurikund stay at kedarnath on 26th Sep ??????

Buses to hills depart between 8pm to 9.30pm. One has to be there at around 7.30pm to purchase ticket & ensure seat in the bus.

In June 2012, Delhi Guptkashi fare was 420/-. And it dropped us before 10am at Kund, some 8 kms before Guptkashi. You can easily reach Kedar on 26th if there are no serious road blockades.

I have confirm from someone 1 shared tata sumo is going to rudraprayag from vinod nagar delhi at 10 "o" clock, if I prefer this taxi then wat is route of Rudraprayg to gaurikund and also travelling mode ???

There are sumos operating from of Delhi for hills. But only garhwalis are aware about their origin and timings. It used to take 800/- per head for Dwarka (Delhi) to Gopeshwar in 2009. Once you are there in Rudraprayag, get in a shared cab for Guptkashi. Guptkashi is about 45 kms from Rudraprayag. Gaurikund is further 35 kms from Guptkashi. You will get shared cab from there as well.

Actually, I want to ask you which is preferable going to bus upto guptakshi or with cab to rudraprayag and have u any idea about shared jeep fare.

If you manage to get jeep from Delhi that too in middle row only, then that jeep is better option. Delhi Guptkashi bus is lacking on leg space. Though I have always relied on these buses, it may not prove easy for you.

You can take a night bus to Rishikesh and travel by shared cabs thereafter.

Have u any idea about is Hotel and dharmshala at kedarnath and gaurikund and guptakashi we are three person ( Me and my two brothers)
