Chorbari glacier
Hi,
My husband is in the Himalayas planning to climb Kedar tomorrow (wenesday morning). I was wondering if Chorbari glacier is accessible from Kedaranath? Is it within India or do you need passports etc.,? I read somewhere on the web its only 3 km from teh Kedar temple. Will the locals tell you the way if you ask them? Does anybody know how to get there? Thanks in advance for your replies. Deepa |

Chorbari Glacier
Chorbari glacier lies entirely within India and no passport is required to visit it. There is a path starting from the Kedarnath temple which leads to the snout of the glacier. Proceeding onto the glacier is not advisable unless you have enough experience or a good guide.
