I have visited all 4 places in end October some years ago. My preference will be always Chaukori. View from KMVN TRH in Chaukori is awesome!

I have planned to go these places in october. But problem is that I havenot got rooms in KMVN either at Binsar or at Chaukori. However i could able to book rooms in Munsyari for 2 nights. But i have only 5 days excluding to-fro journey from Delhi.Probably i would leave out Kausani. Can you suggest any hotels in/nearby chaukori other than KMVN.Also will it be worth doing a early morning trip to Binsar from Almora?

Yes nothing to beat Chakouri. Gwaldam is another quiet & quaint place with great view.

In the winter, or at least as late as possible in autumn.

i've been to Munsyari only out of these four places. Perhaps this is the closest to the peaks. The view of the majestic Panchchulli is really great there.
