Badrinath - Kedarnath in July or August
Hi All
I am reaching haridwar on 4th Aug afternoon and will be staring for kedarnath-badrinath trip on 5th Aug morning and will be returning by 11 th aug evening Haridwar. Got to know thru newspapers that there is heavy pouring.
I am travelling with my parents age 60 years. Can some one let me know what precautions i should take for monsoon and is there any major problem travelling Badrinath and kedarnath during this period?

I returned from Badarinath tour last week. The present gate opening timings at Joshimath towards Badarinath are as under
05.30 AM, 07.30 AM, 09.30 AM,11.30 AM, 01.30 PM, 03.30 PM AND 05.30 PM.
Since vehicle traffic is not much the timings are not enforced properly. While proceeding to Badarinath we came across many vehicles coming from the opposite side between hanumanchatti & govindghat.
