I am planning to visit Jim Corbett National Park and Auli. Taking a Leave from 22 Jan to 3 Feb.
- Is this much time enough to spend time at both places.
- If so how should i plan my route.
- Please let me have some Names and Phone Nos of some decent places to stay.
- Also please do let me know the cost of travelling from Delhi to Jim Corbett and then to Auli and Back to Delhi, so that I can Plan a Budget for the Whole trip.
- I would like to make my budget as less as possible. So please advice accordingly.

Hi, I am not sure about Auli as I am visiting the same places this new year. But I will give you some info on Corbett. There are two types of accomodations here. The first is resorts in the buffer zone which are luxurious. The second is Forest Rest Houses inside the jungle. For the second option, kindly send a fax with the details of the travellers to the field directors office. The number is mentioned in a previous reply.
I also heard that bookings for FRH is going online from 1st Jan 2012 onwards. Inside the jungle, Dhikala FRH is the best option as it has electricity 24 hours, hot water etc. It is also the most picturesque with the Ramganga river valley right in front.
The great Jim Corbett himself used to stay here. So the place has a rustic and old world charm to it.
But most of it was flooded the last time round. Other FRHs include Bijrani, Mailani, Kanda, Gairal etc.
Acc to me, you should stay inside the jungle rather than staying at a resort in the buffer zone. After 8 or 9 pm, come out of your room and listen to the jungle! Just listen.

Hope that helps! Happy Journey.
