Day 8 is short drive up to Augstamuni/Phata helipad base.
Day 7 Instead of Rudraprayag, Jakholi is an option for night stay via Ghansali,Chirbatiya khal.
Day 8 is helipad base from Jakholi.
Day 10 Chopta is a good option for night stay before Badrinath.

Itinerary is fine but Harshil is a nice place and may need at least a full day.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion
For keeping Harsil for full day sightseeing then I should be leaving either Jakholi-Tehri dam od day 7 or Chopta of Day 10. I can leave Auli also

Suggest, which one of these three places should i leave to include full day Harsil?

I would probably keep Auli for the ropeway. The view is amazing, but then how much can you have of it, unless there is someone to enthrall you with stories about it..
Also most of the place to roam about in AUli is uphill and downhill, not much of plains. There is a nice small temple in the forest in Auli, about a couple of kilometers form the ropeway landing. But the time given after you get down form the ropeway is limited. The return time is fixed. (this is for the ropeway that comes from Joshimath) I am not too sure about the chair car that you take from Auli to further up regarding the time allocation.
Sar Pass Trek , Rohtang, Munnar, Badrinath Kedarnath, Vaishnodevi, Goa

If we are having nightstay in Auli, then time should not be a problem.
But if we have to walk and that too not in plains for sightseeing, then it would be problem for my aged parents

It's Jakholi badma. 8 km from Mayali. Search GMVN Jakholi.

If you are going via New Tehri follow the Ghansali, Chirbatiya khal route even you want to skip Jakholi as the route is very scenic.

Hi friends,

After Kedarnath darshan, we are planning to take one day break in Joshimath for joshimath and sightseeing before leaving for Badrinath the next day. In this context, which is better place to stay, Joshimath or Pipalkoti (10 kms before Joshimath). I thought about Joshimath but travel agent told about Pipalkoti, so got confused. Which place have better hotels

Joshimath is definitely better - both in terms of hotels and places to see.

Joshimath has more hotels, some of which are decent. (definitely better than Pipalkoti in my opinion, though I know only half the story - Joshimath hotels. We did stop at Pipalkoti and didn't see any adverts/ boards for any hotels there.)
Also Joshimath gives you easy access to Auli, where you can stay as well.
Two temples in Joshimath - one uphill and the other a bit downhill.
Enroute to Badrinath - Pandukeshwar.
