Auli-can i get snowfall at auli after 25th December

Auli-can i get snowfall at auli after 25th December
I am planning to go Auli between 25th December to 5th January this year(2012-2013). This is my humble request to all members...please inform me about the snowfall of that time. Is it possible to get snow at Auli at that time?? Please reply soon!!

It varies from year to year, this year the first snowfall in the region was only after 1st Jan. January second week is a safer bet IMHO

I will suggest you to visit Manali. You will definitely see Snow there. Even by any chance it's not then there is a station named Gulaba near Manali where you can find snow.

If you are planning to visit in January Then Visit Kufri around 15kms from Shimla. You will definitely find snow there in January.

What a coincidence!! I am leaving Sealdah exactly on 25th Dec. this year and returning back on 5th of January!!! Destination Auli via Delhi I have asked many people and almost everybody has said "yes"! So, I am going to take the chance. Are you also coming? Are you planning to stay at Auli? I already phoned for dormitory at Cliff Top but booking has not been started yet! Let's meet at Auli

Hi friends
I amalso planning for Auli/Rishikesh in last week of Jan i.eLeaving Mumbai on 25 th
Brief Itenary is as follows
25 Jan Mumbai Delhi
26 Jan Delhi Haridwar
27-28 Rishikesh-Rafting/Bungee
29 Rishikesh Joshimath
30-31 Auli
1 Feb Joshimath-Rishikesh
2 Feb Mumbai

We are a group of five.Please suggest
1 the mode of transport from Rishikesh to Joshimath
2 Rafting Camps at rishikesh
3 Attractions at Auli/Joshimath
4 Driver/guide info if any
5 Staying options at Auli/Joshimath

Know am asking too much info but am sure you guys will definitely help me

Hey bijalg,
Isnt Kumbh Mela during the same period ?
I mean even though Rishikesh is far away, wont tourist influx still be high considering its Kumbh! :-)
