During this year, I have visited Haridwar 4 times and it has always been overcrowded.
Now I am a regular Haridwar visitor, but I have noticed that pilgrimage has steadily increased over last 2-3 years. At the recent Occasion of Somwati Amavasya Snan (Sacred bath on full moon Monday) there was a 3 hour long traffic jam between Haridwar and Roorkee (a journey of not more than 30 mins.) It was the opinion of all shopkeepers at Haridwar that this Kumbh will break all records..... I am also going to be part of that crowd... How about a Kumbha Mela IM Meetup ? Quote:

Delhiwalla, since you go there often, do you have a favourite Dharamshala or hotel for a ringside(rooftop) view of Har Ki Pauri. At least some of us could reserve now and stay there. That would be a good meetup!
