2 Nights 3 Days Uttaranchal - 6 hours from Delhi?

This friday we plan to go to some good place in uttranchal
1. Should be around 300kms max, no Mussourie/Nainital
2. Good place with decent acc. for around 1500/night
3. We will have half of friday and full saturday to sight see.
What do you recommend?

I have heard Kausani or Almora are nice - haven't been there only to the 2 places you don't want to go to, which I like very much!

your best bet is Binsar and mukteshwar,380 and 350 km. from delhi respectively but the roads are good, both the places are as scenic as it can get and they are better than your ranikhet, almora and kausani.

The places mentioned above are good. I personally really like Jageshwar. It's good if you want peace and quiet with some awesome temples thrown in and old ancient huge Deodar trees. There's no place like it in Kumaon. If you go, head up to Vriddha Jageshwar, the ridge above town, a 1 hour walk or you can drive there for awesome views.

How about visiting Corbett ? At this time there will be good sightings of animals. But it will be hot.

Or try this http://www.jilling.net/index1.html

I have been to both mussourie and Nainital. Nainital was lovely, but can't say the same about the former.
Thats why avoiding both, both seen. Nainital we may visit again, but Mussoirie nah. Chamba mayble, but not mussourie!

At Binsar try KMVN Guest House (Gov.t Owned). It offers good views.

Hi All,

I am planning for a weekend biking trip (departing from Delhi on Friday night and reaching back to Delhi on Sunday night or Monday morning) on 5th of June. I have a bajaj Pulsar 150 cc.
Would like to have some suggestions on places and expenses.

Thanks...
