What's the budget ? Economy (upto Rs. 500) Medium (500-1000) or top (>1000) ? Both Haridwar and Rishikesh have many hotels and in all budget ranges ?

At Rishikesh you may try to stay at an Ashram......

In mar we stayed in Hotel ganga Azure.Very good clean .2 mins from station .IF you come at 2 am its not far from station just ask any one for Big ben .
Do not ask rixa people . When i was there they wanted 70 rupees for 2 min so best way take padel rixa put bag in there walk with him for 10 rupees if you do not want to walk alone or phone hotel .
When you there if you try might get discount .That was 2nd best hotel in my stay.
Plus this hotel is 1.5 km from Arti in evening.Pay 10 rupees per person to go in padel rixa and enjoy view.
There is good food near that hotel opp. Siv murti for 45 rupees only . veg place called RAGHUVANSHI in shivmurti steet. 45 rupees eat as much as you like good veg food i tried there.

Try Mohiyal Ashram opposite Shanti Kunj Gate. It is good, clean, safe and cheap.

Although you have not given your budget. I am giving a list of places:

1. Hotel Ganga Azure, Close to Rly Stn.
2. Ginger Hotel, Rishikesh Road
3. Mansarovar International, Near Har Ki Pauri
4. Hotel Teerth
5. Ram Lodge
6. Gaurav Lodge, Har ki Pauri

There are many ashrams also from Bhimgoda to Shanti Kunj.....

Around 600 but bargain its not full at present so what ever less you can get.We been ask 1200 for 3 and we paid 900 .But hotel is nice clean .We were on 2 nd floor.
Wherever you stay do not forget to write down veg food hotel opp siv murti i said before and let us know you like veg thali for 45 rupees.I want to go back there . hmm hungry already.
One thing food in big ben is costly then other hotel so be warned.
There is hotel right opposite station but we did not like staff there. And we find this is cheaper and better than that.

You are talking about Sachin International. It's bang opposite Railway Station, but I still suggested Ganga Azure, as it's a better choice...

It is RAGHUVANSHI Bhojnalay opp. Guj Dharmashala
in Shivmurti Street .
ITS near station so even if you go in morning you will get gujarati breakfast which you can only get in Gujarat or gujarati hotels.
Trust me if never tried try some of them veg dishes. .Breakfast 10 to 15 rupee for small plate so if you do not like try another and let me know when you come back what you like.
Only thing check times they only make at certain times in morning and evening fresh.I used to check whats next dishes is for next time.
Might have problem with english but hey just order what you see and like.
