what are great places in Uttaranchal?

Hello i am new here
i read some wonderful answers
I hope i will get a share of that also
I am planning a trip from Rishikesh to Deoprayag
Chamba Mussouri Dhanaulty Kalsi Chakrata maybe if possible to Yamunotri beginning of april.
Maybe also go toHimachal Pradesh Sarahan the Kalka toytrain
Sangla Kalpa
Tatapani Chirgaum litlle villages in the mountains
But probably not as far as Manali
I would like to see great mountainviews smell nature meet mountainpeople
I would like a bit of the beaten track not too many people
If possible to see some animals And to stay in hotels or resthouses that cost around 500-700 roepies. I would be very greatfull for some good advices. Thank you!

1) You can't go to Chakrata, entry is banned fro non-Indian citizens. You can go to Kalsi, maybe you want to see the Ashok rock-inscription, but there's nothing else there and no accom.

2) Best is if you go to Rishikesh, take a day-trip to Devprayag, come back to Rishikesh, then head for Dhanolti next day via Chamba (no point staying here, just head to Dhanolti). Stay there a day or two, then head for Mussoorie.

3) Thereafter if you want to go to Himachal, it's quite simple to reach it from Dehradun.
Or you shud take the following route, which will allow a relatively simple access from Mussoorie -
You can get a direct bus to Rohru from nearby. From there you can get a bus or jeep to Chirgaon (I hope we're talking about the same place). Then come back to Rohru, from where you'll get a bus or jeep to Rampur. From Rampur you'll get a bus or jeep for Sarahan (or go up to Jyori, from where you'll also get a jeep to Sarahan).
Sangla and Kalpa are also easily accessible thereafter, you have to go back to Jyori first.
On your return you can head to Shimla, from where you can take the train to Kalka. How's that?

If you want to go to Tattapani (not much there though, except sulphur baths), that's also best approached from Shimla.

Yes, I've been to Yamunotri.
Buses go upto Hanumanchatti. A "road" goes upto Jankichatti from there, only jeeps travel it.

There's plenty of accom in the area, but the guest houses run by the state govt are best in my view. See here for locations/details:
http://www.gmvnl.com/newgmvn/touristbunglows/index.aspx

The one at Hanumanchatti has a nice location, right on the bank of the roaring Yamuna. But you have to take a jeep 8 km to the trail-head at Jankichatti from here. A new one is at Phulchatti. But the closest one is at Jankichatti itself.

The walk is not difficult, the path is cemented most of the way. But I must caution you that in mid-April everything is still closed at Yamunotri, the season starts early May. I've been told that, unlike at other dhams, the path to Yamunotri is not closed by the police in winter, but I don't know if that's true.
So even if you're able to walk up, you'll only be able to see the temple from outside.

It wil be cold at night at Yamunotri, but in any case you don't need to (or can't) stay there. Most folks just walk/ride up and down after a few hours.

P.S. Oh, some good news, maybe -
this year Yamunotri temple is opening early, 27th April.
