2-May: Reach Gangotri via Uttarkashi
3-May: Reach Bhojwasa
4-May: Reach Tapovan via Gomukh
5-May: Reach Nandanvan
6-May: Start for Vasuki Taal and back to Nandanvan at evening
7-May: Start for Gomukh. Stay overnight
8-May: Start for Gangotri. Stay overnight

Hmm, you don't sem to have much trekking experience, and yet you want to go to Vasuki Tal? Start with something less difficult - restrict yourself to Gaumukh. It'll be easier with the permits too (only one, instead of a second one for Tapovan etc).

The permits are restricted to 150 a day, so best get to Uttarkashi early to apply.
More info here:
New Govt Regulation: Restricted Permits at Gangotri National Park

There is plenty of info on this route in the Trekking forum, look around there. (UP is not exactly known for hills )

Trek to Vasuki Tal

I too was planning to trek till Vasuki Tal with a group of 12 more people. Most of us are experienced trekkers, meaning have done 2 to 3 national level treks.
I see that Nandavan to Vasuki Tal is a 8km trek. Is its very difficult?
Can someone compare this to the difficulty level of Sarpass trek?

Thanks,
Nisha
