Spend a day in/around Hapur?

Hello,

On my upcoming trip back to Indian I will have a full day to spend in Delhi before I fly back. I was trying to see what places outside of Delhi I can spend a day at. I am looking for a rural, peaceful farming village with not much going on. I came across Hapur - and looks like there is also an interesting-sounding Buddhist Monastary and Buddhist education center. Might be worth checking out.

Didnt know what people thought of my idea of spending a day in that area? Any other suggestions?

Hapur is a dump. Buddhist monastery and education centre? First I've heard of it! It's not in Hapur, is it?

There is the Mud Fort at Kuchesar which has been turned into a swanky (i.e. expensive) hotel which is not far away, altho somewhat off route. Google it for more. Cheers.

I would hesitate to spend an hour there, to be honest.
