|  Rishikesh to Gangotri Hi, I am planning to go to Gangotri from Rishikesh on last week of June,May I reach to Gangotri by one day?How can I reach there?How much time will it take?Can anyone give me some information about the fare?Thanks in advance.. |

  | In the last weekof June it will be rainy,One night halt is necessary even if you go by car If you start aroind 8 from Rishikesh by Car you can expect to reach Uttarkashi by 3-4 in the evening.It is a 3to 3.5 hrs travel from Uttarkashi to Gangotri |

| You can reach Gangotri from Rishikesh on the same day. However, by doing so, you will be gaining in altitude from about 600m to about 3000m in one day which may create acclimitisation problem. It is better to take a overnight halt at Uttarkashi or Helang before proceeding to Gangotri. Sadanand

| Going to Gangotri to Haridwar Hi friends. I am reaching Haridwar on a Friday evening. Is it possible to take any overnight bus to gangotri. Since I do not have many leaves, I intend to visit just Gangotri... Could you please guide me a little as to the means of transport and accommodation? Sorry the title should be Gangotri from Haridwar |
