Reliable Buses from Delhi to Rishikesh?

Hi All,

I am flying from Varanasi into Delhi, and then hoping to get from Delhi to Rishikesh on September 25th. Unfortunately trains are all waitlisted (next position was Waitlist 7)so I figure a bus might be a good option.

I noticed many sites online advertising buses, but does anyone have experience or know of a reliable bus or place to purchase tickets?

The most reliable bus service to Rishikesh from Delhi are the state government run buses from Kashmir Gate, ISBT. This is the most economical and reliable service in my opinion. Unless you want to travel in style in a luxury coach, you can travel comfortably in these buses.

Yes ! Best is to go by State Govt. Buses.

From ISBT Kashmiri Gate you get UP & Uttarakhand Govt. buses. and from ISBT Sarai Kale Khan you get Rajasthan Govt buses.

Private buses are highly unreliable.
