Need comfy accom in Haridwar & Agra

Travelling with the inlaws this time so we need a nice comfy mid range guest house or hotel near the centre of Agra and also in Haridwar. Any suggestions appreciated

Do yourself a favor, buy the lonely planet

and search rather than just make five threads!

The current Lonely Planet India is on the desk. However, there is no substitute for direct feedback and personal recommendation from current travellers. As good as LP is, it provides only one source of info and the amount of places they recommend is limited, when it comes to guest houses they can usually only list several in a city where there may be hundreds of them.

That is what we though this forum would be good for, current information without printing limitations.

Haridwar - Hotel Teerth, its bang on the Ganges. Le Grand is the most comfortable hotel there, but it's 2-3 KMs away from the Ganges.

For Agra - Hotel Grand or Howard Park Plaza

Hotel Teerth in Haridwar looks quite good, just waiting on their tariffs as the link on their web site was not functioning.
