Info regarding Kartik Swami temple

Hi All,
Can someone please give me info regarding the Kartik Swami temple in Garhwal? All I have heard is , one gets a great view of the peaks from the temple, and that its a trek route. I want some more info, regarding the trek ,the nearest roadhead, accomodations available etc...

The route is:

Rishikesh-Srinagar-Gholtir-Kothki Sam-Ishala-Aagar-Gimtoli-Kartik Swami Temple

You may start trek from Gholtir.

Thanks delhiwala....A few more questions :
1.Can the trek be completed in one day?
2.How tough is the trek?
3. I have heard that the temple is accessiblre from a village called Kanak Chori(I dont know if I have misspelled the name), near Rudraprayag. In that case, how to reach Kanak Chunari, and how far is the temple from the village?

Oh ! I thought you are interested in a trek. So I gave you a big 3-4 days trek.

The Rudraprayag route is a very small trek. Go upto Rudraprayag. Take the shared jeep to Kanak Chauri It's only 40 KMs from Rudraprayag. From Kanak Chauri the temple is only 3 KMs trek.

Is Kanak Chauri en route to Joshimath? How frequently do the jeeps ply from RP in that route?
