Agra to Vrindavan?
Agra to Vrindavan?
Hello all,
I've got a minor logistical question. I'll be traveling in UP in March (solo). I'd like to go from Agra to Vrindavan, stay for a few days, and then go to Delhi. Are there good train connections between Agra, Vrindavan, and Delhi, or would I be better off hiring a car?
Thanks!
Mia

Vrindavan is a small town adjacent to Mathura. Mathura is inbetween Agra and Delhi There are very frequent bus and train services to Mathura both from Delhi and Agra. Vrindavan is 15 Km from Mathura and you take an auto rickshaw or travel with the locals in a tempo traveler.
Usually all trains in agra - delhi route stop at mathura.
Take a shared auto to vrindavan( Rs.10/person)
Full Auto to vrindavan( Rs.120/)
From Atalla chungi(vrindavan auto stand) take richshaw to desired destnation..
If you don't have one ---proceed to Banke Bihari mandir ( Rs.10/person )in rickshaw.
Get an accomodation nearby....lots of them suiting all pockets.
Easy walking distances nearby to almost all sightseeing temples...some like ISCON & Anandmayi Temple are far..take a rickshaw.
Get back to Mathura.....tell the tempo driver to drop you at (masani)Krishna janmasthan...in route only...(mandir is 5 minutes walk)
visit the place (Caution-they will not let you carry mobiles ,camera or bag inside).
They do have provision for keeping them...
Move to Mathura station ( Rs.7/person)in a shared tempo.
Catch your train ....or go the bus stand to catch a Bus to Delhi.
